Voice for Vision

Our Voice for Vision campaign brings lived experience into the conversation about smart glasses, accessibility and everyday independence.

For people who are blind or have low vision, smart glasses are not a gimmick or a covert filming device. They are life-changing assistive technology that can read signs and menus, describe surroundings, support safe navigation and connect the wearer with real-time assistance while leaving their hands-free for a cane, guide dog harness or mobility aid.

As governments consider how emerging technologies should be regulated, it’s critical that the experiences of people who are blind or have low vision are part of that discussion, with legitimate assistive uses understood by policymakers so it doesn’t unintentionally create new barriers for people with disability.

Make Voice for Vision visible

You can help raise Voice for Vision’s message in many ways.
