Vision 2020 Australia has welcomed the Australian Government’s announcement of $35 million in funding to advance bioengineered cornea research. This investment, funded through the Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF), represents a record commitment to the prevention of blindness in Australia and internationally.
The funding is expected to drive progress in developing new treatments to prevent vision loss, strengthen scientific capacity, and contribute to improved eye health outcomes.
